Photo of the Week: Thai Longtail Boat on the Chao Praya River – Bangkok, Thailand

Yesterday Matt and I booked our visit to Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand to attend both the famous full moon party on December 17th, 2013 and their NYE party; taking a week of in between to dive in Koh Tao. For years now we have heard of Koh Pha Ngan’s full moon parties and experiencing one was on our bucket lists. It’s going to be a tad crazy with upwards of 30,000 partiers on the beaches dancing in the moonlight to some of the world’s top DJs.

We booked the last beach bungalow with Hostelz at the highly recommended Beach Village Backpackers and the ambiance looks incredible with a huge pool, tiki bar, club, outdoor cinema and even a kitchen to cook our own food (if we’re not too tired ;)). We’re very excited but were even a bit wary reading all there is about what we can expect. We’ll save our energy and money and December of this year is going to be one we’ll never forget.

Booking Koh Pha Ngan reminded me of this beautiful photo below taken of a Thai longtail boat in Bangkok. They’re a popular method of transportation and you can often find a captain who will race you up and down the river, reminiscent of James Bond in The Man With The Golden Gun (song above).

Here’s to Thailand!

LIFE IS SHORT SO LIVE IT!
