Jumping at Salt Flats north of Salta, Argentina

My name is Julie Munsch (hence the play on words for “The Travelling Munschkin”) and I am from Toronto, Ontario (Canada). I am a travel professional with more than 14 years in the travel industry, having immersed myself in many facets of the job. Travelling and experiencing different cultures are my biggest passions and I have been fortunate to travel to more than 60 countries. I have also lived in a few different places around the world including Nice (France), Providenciales (Turks & Caicos Islands) and Montreal (Quebec, Canada).

The idea of this blog was in fact suggested to me. On a trip two years ago to Swaziland, Mozambique and South Africa I would write friends and family each day. My emails made it into the hands of a freelance travel writer who then sent them to the editor of a travel magazine. It was suggested to me that I pursue this as a career and so here I am.

I am the daughter of two writers (one occupationally, one leisurely – both fantastic). I have always been an avid traveller/adventurer and, with thanks, I blame my parents for instilling this need in me. They have inspired in me the quest for knowledge, the desire to share it with others and an empathetic and benevolent spirit.

With that said, please bear with me. I am not a journalist nor do I pretend to be one. I aim to be as accurate as possible and I look forward to opening dialogue among my readers.

Happy Reading!

P.S. I am Canadian and will be writing as so, with varied spelling from our neighbours to the south.
